Western version of app pre-registration service PreLaunch.Me goes Freemium

February 18, 2016- Established in 2011, subsidiary of Adways Inc. (Head office Shinjuku- Tokyo, CEO: Haruhisa Okamura) , Adways Interactive (Head Office: San Francisco, CEO: Daisuke Hida) today announced the change in business model of PreLaunch.Me to freemium. PreLaunch. Me is a pre-registration service for mobile games, available for publishers and gamers in the US, Canada, Australia and UK.
PreLaunch. Me announced its launch in October as $1 Cost-Per-Registration model for game publishers. However, today Adways Interactive introduced a free-to-feature model with optional premium options.
One of the premium options will be the introduction of Mystery Box or Gacha.
Gamers can spin mystery box and win different prizes depending on what they land. Gamers can spin up to 5 times a day, or if they share the game on Facebook or Twitter, they can spin an additional 5 times. Exclusive rare prizes will be offered to engage gamers before game launch.
Since its beta launch in December 2014, PreLaunch.Me has been used by over 180 developers and 390 games from Western and Asian regions. It is showing a great performance of 40% conversion rate that measures the number of users who reserved an app before launch and downloaded on his/her device when it went live.
The concept of pre-registration is still very early for both gamers and publishers in the U.S. As the pioneer in the region, one of the challenges is to educate the fact that gamers are hungry for upcoming mobile games news. PreLaunch.Me’s mission is to connect early adopters*1of gaming with as many quality upcoming games as possible.

PreLaunch.Me, Western iteration of Yoyaku Top 10, is a pre-registration platform for game developers to enhance pre-launch exposure by building and engaging a targeted audience of midcore*2 gamers. Gamers are introduced to number of upcoming games which they will opt-in to receive push notification *3 or SMS alerts upon launch. Gamers are also offered exclusive ‘promo gifts’ for pre-registering for certain games. |
