Beta launch of app pre-registration service PreLaunch Party in the US market
~Release on Dec 16th and Free till Jan 16th ~

December 9, 2014 - Established in 2012, subsidiary of Adways Inc. (Head Office: Shinjuku- Tokyo, CEO: Haruhisa Okamura), Adways Interactive (Head office: San Francisco, CEO: Ken Asakura) announced it will release beta test for PreLaunch Party in the US market on December 16th. PreLaunch Party will serve as pre-registration platform exclusively for midcore Android games and developers will be allowed to test the platform free of charge until Jan 16th. The service is currently available in Japan, Korea, China and Taiwan.

Launched in January 2013 in Japan, PreLaunch Party (named Yoyaku Top 10 in Japan) is the world’s first ever app pre-registration service for mobile apps. Since then it has expanded into Korea, China and Taiwan to help app developers to promote their titles before launch.
Currently used by 500,000 registered users, it has been showing great performances in LTV and retention rate. PreLaunch Party has recorded LTV and retention rate of over 1.5 times higher than that of organic users (Reference: Adways Data, Jun 2014).
As of October 2014, almost 70% share of GooglePlay revenue is generated in Japan, US and Korea (Reference: AppAnnie, Oct 2014). Also the IDC’s latest mobile phone forecast says that worldwide Android shipments surpassed 1.6 billion units in 2014 which took 82.3% of the smartphone shipment share whereas the iOS shipments remained in 0.18 billion (13.8%) (Reference: IDC, Dec 2014).
Having considered the potential of Android market and also that of pre-registration service, Adways has decided to bring this service into the US market and established a project team to develop a totally US-localized pre-registration service PreLaunch Party.

Yoyaku Top 10 offers pre-registrations of a new app. It will send push notification* when developers’ app goes live.
・ Enables a developer to promote their new app before launch
It is a great solution reaching out to game enthusiasts before app launch. More than 50% of them will turn to users once an app is launched.
・ Enables a developer to provide information about events and app update
Developer will be able to register information on account management screens about special events and update of their app and release them online.

*Mid core games
Games that are in between “casual” and “core” games. Mid core games attract players who have a wider range of interests than a casual game. The players are more likely to play different types of games without spending too much time.

*Push notification
Push notification enables an app to notify a user of new messages or events in real time even when the user is not actively using that app.
