UNIQLO entered Chinese market as it aims to provide their products and services to Chinese consumers. Smartphone app is considered as an innovative marketing platform which can improve consumer’s experience and also the service itself.
Adways China’s mission is to analyze the market trend, make a digital marketing strategy and provide marketing solution to clients with use of internet technology. UNIQLO chose Adways China as its app marketing partner in China.
The app renewal was done with three key words- “Self-direction”, “Consistency” and “Interaction”. Not only improvement of design and usability, a great number of practical functions were also added. Real time information of product inventory, easy-to-purchase function and shop search function based on geolocation were a part of it. Furthermore user experience was also enhanced as consumers are now able to customize app top page as well as menu and enjoy virtual trial fitting. This whole renewal support enables UNIQLO to fleetly provide product that consumers want and takes a significant role in forming UNIQLO’s brand in Chinese market.
Not just giving support for the renewal, Adways China also planned and run promotion campaigns to enlarge and activate number of the app users. “LUCKYU YEAR NEW YEAR 2014” campaign which over one million users joined, “Father’s day: Present for Dad” held in June when new model of polo shirt arrived in stores and “Recycling: Send Letters to Someone Far Away” which supported public-interest activities were a part of these campaigns.
